ANGRY ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED IN LA THIS WEEKEND?
Here's an opportunity for you to do something RIGHT NOW to help immigrants and refugees in our community. We are calling on the community to support our fight in demanding for Dong Nguyen's release from detention. Go to bit.ly/freedong to take action now.
Dong Nguyen is a Vietnamese American father, grandfather, caretaker, and refugee who has lived in Dorchester, Massachusetts for over four decades. He is currently detained and away from his brother, who he has been the primary caregiver for for over 14 years.Dong's case is not isolated in the Southeast Asian community. We must hold the US accountable for their role in destabilizing Southeast Asia through their military intervention that displaced Dong and thousands of other refugees who have since called the U.S. their home. We must show up for all of our Black and Brown community members that are being targeted by ICE right now!Join AARW for power hours to call and email Dong's representatives to demand his release.
Zoom details will be sent after registration.
